Updated 19th November 2005 - Good Carp

I have added this page to reflect all the happy times I have

spent on the bank up and down the UK and Ireland

Included here are some of my dearest friends and companions

over the years, and also my dear friends I have made in Fishsim.

There is no doubt about it - Angling captures those unforgettable moments

and what better way is there than to have that picture to look back on.

Each section below is assembled as an album

Good Carp !

You will find Carp on most of the sections below, but this section is where

they have been special fish.

A selection of good carp from around our local area

Size is not everything in Carp fishing - it is the quality and

the personal achievement and satisfaction that counts

Beacon View - August 2005

A quickly arranged get together saw a few of us at Beacon

on a very hot day - Plenty of fish were caught and it turned out to be a

great day for everyone

Thanks to Kev and Lenny for supplying the images

Club Water Catches

Our Club water is only small in comparison to some other lakes we fish

but it does hold some big fish

Docklow Pools 2005

Not many photos here, as we have been before

These are the selected few that were significant over the week

Bryan and I had fish to 13lb and many more around the 8 - 9 - 10lb mark

Sorry for the "fuzzy" one - I was knackered lol

Bridgenorth and  Anglsey

Kev and Patricia spent some time at Bridgenorth on opening day of the season

and at Anglsey later on

Fan Lodge December 2004

A group of us got together at Fan Lodge for a days Carp Fishing

The day was tough on fishing but the company was good and we had

great day out

Catches from round and about

A collection of photos from around the region including a meeting at

Gainsborough Lake - Shatterford

August 8th and 9th 2004 - Fishsim meeting

Some images of the session, which ended in a great catch for Kev

This was the best attended meeting so far !

Docklow Pools 2004

Under very hot conditions we caught many Carp each day

No giants but enough to keep us occupied throughout the week

and a great place to be!

Due to a no keepnet policy it is only possible to show individual fish

Conger on the Rocks !

A day out at Anglesy

Kev and Patricia had a days sea fishing and nearly landed a giant

of a Conger. With both anglers high up, it was going to be a challenge to get this

fish up the rocks, so Kev did the gentlemanly thing and released it back unharmed

The fish was a big specimen for the area and a shame it couldn't climb !

Fishsim Meetings March 2004 - INVASION !

Between March 7th, and 15th 2004 again saw a huge gathering of Simmers from all over the UK, get together for some fishing. Four venues were well attended -

River Swale - Damhead Pond - Shatterford Farm - Furnace Mill

On all four occasions the weather was bad but still managed to get a few fish

A record turn-out at Furnace made this a special event

My thanks to all photo contributors

On the 11th - 12th July 2003 a group from Fishsim met on the banks of the

River Swale - North Yorkshire

George organized this venture which was another success with some good fish

being caught - Special thanks to George and to all that made the journey

It was a great 24 hours for all of us  - Very happy memories

BEACON VIEW

A chance for Sturgeon - This place is incredible !!

After a couple of difficult sessions on this lake, we

finally made contact with some fish.

Sterlet and Sturgeon are not native to our

local waters, but this gave us an opportunity to catch

and to study these prehistoric looking fish close up

I am sure you will agree they are different to what we are used to

The smiles say it all

Well nearly anyway - Freinds and family

We all have special friends and its nice to

spend a few hours in good company

Here are a few of mine

Eddies Spot

Eddie has been doing the rounds lately, and here is the proof !

A few images from Hapton, where Eddie has been catching

some of the very difficult Carp

A very deep water which doesn't give its fish easily

A Day out at Raygill

On a very cold day in April - Fishsimmers unite - 2002

This was the first time we had all met up, and after

polite introductions and getting to know each other

the rest is history as they say

But hell it was cold lol

Some of my catches from local waters and from Southern Ireland

After many years of Angling, what better way to keep those memories

alive and to share with others
