Flies

Updated 5th Januaryr 2004

There are many flies which have been created for FS2.  Fly Fishing is one of the most intriguing parts of the simulator.  Pick the wrong fly and you will struggle - I do it very often !

However pick the correct fly for a venue and you will catch in quantity.  Listed below are all the flies in FS2 - in order of colours There are a lot of factors that determine whether a fly will work or not - colour - weather - temperatures and fish preference, to name a few. All can be set by the creator and the permutations are endless The information below is based on experience ( not much here ) and general factors - in no way is this the exact way but only

guidance and for information - Over time there will be updates. Mainly it stands as testament to the flexibility and the many hours spent by creators world wide, to capture the art of fly fishing in FS2

Dry Flies

Fished on the surface - can be fished still where cast

or twitched to attract a bite

Best on clear / overcast days when the surface temperature is right
